An amazing tutorial on how to make your very own Sailor Senshi/Fuku Cosplay! Had a hard time finding really descriptive youtube tutorials surprisingly. So had to find step by step images!
If you still need to visually see how to make a pleaded skirt here’s a youtube link to How To Cosplay: Make A Pleated Skirt! Though she doesn’t use actually cloth in the tutorial she uses paper - I think it’s pretty useful.

I think that Sayaka is a Cancer. Her Soul Gem is in the shape of a “C” or a crescent moon. The moon, according to the Zodiac, is a planet that is ruled by Cancer. Cancer is also a water sign, and the moon is said to be connected to the tides. Sayaka has a connection to water because of her Witch form. She’s also moody and sensitive, and puts up a wall. She’s also caring and protective of those around her. Those are all traits that Cancers have!

Someone stated today that the gaming industry cannot and should not change for the “2%” demographic that is female. Since we all know that 85% of statistics are made up on the spot, I’m curious to see how many people in the tumblr sphere are part of this demographic.

Okay, so I freaked out when ACen started doing guest announcements last week. Kalafina’s the first guest! The band is getting a full-blown concert — AT AN OFF-SITE VENUE! I’m freaking out because Kalafina’s done so many songs for Madoka Magica, and I so want to go.
…and then over the weekend my dad got two months notice on losing his job. >.>
This is not necessarily that huge of a problem, as I’m hoping to get a part-time job myself in the next few weeks and will have plenty of money to foot for both admission and any extra ticket for the Kalafina concert by May. No sweat.
…but now the problem is that C2E2 is siren-calling me away from ACen with Doctor Who-related guests and the hope of meeting (or re-meeting) several internet celebrities. The Starkids will probably show up again, since they were guests in some capacity the past two years, and I could’ve sworn someone’s vlog from Youmacon ended with Uncle Yo and Doug Walker suggesting they might get together for a collab “in Chicago in April.”
Given the financial situation currently, I pretty much know that I’d have to pick one convention or the other. ACen is my home convention of sorts, and I’d feel horrible missing it, but C2E2 would be a “fresher” experience since I’ve only gone there once before. Plus I’d be able to use Metra to get to McCormick Place easily, whereas it’d be harder to get to Rosemont and I’m not sure I’ll be able to find someone who’ll share their on-site accomodations with me.
…then again, I was thinking of volunteering at ACen this year — “I’m volunteering in the city this weekend, can you give me time off” is probably more convincing to a McDonald’s manager than “I’m going out of town this weekend, can you give me time off, no I’m not telling you what I’m doing.” ACen does provide SOME accomodations for volunteers, and with flexible schedules and no real plans outside of shopping, guest autographs, one concert and a photoshoot or two, I’d probably be able to volunteer most of the time I was there and still do what I wanted. (They have an award for the person who works the most by the end of Saturday! I could totally get that! XP)
Well, there’s still quite a while before either convention, and I don’t have the job or much in the way of cash right at this moment. Let’s give it a month or two, see if ACen announces any more guests, and then I’ll commit to one con or the other. I think discounted tickets for ACen are still available to the end of March, plus I just checked and pre-reg as a whole doesn’t end till after C2E2. So I still have a while…
Is this a real, purchasable product?
